with the gentle touch and

beautiful grain of hardwood

Mâru

DSC01145.JPG

"Mâru is a wooden case that is the size of a credit card.

In addition to credit cards, it can also hold accessories,

sewing tools and other small belongings.

The "Mâru", which fits right in your hand,

is made from surplus wood

such as building materials and furniture scraps.

Its charming, rounded shape makes it a wooden art piece

that will add elegance to your interior.

Others will be pleasantly surprised

when you open the "Mâru" on your desk

and take out your cards.

Now, how do we open it?

The name "Mâru" actually comes from the Japanese word

“Mawaru “ or rotate.

"Mâru" fits comfortably in your hand.

By touching it directly with your hand

and repeatedly opening and closing it,

you smell the beautiful natural wood,

feel the warmth of the wood,

the different grains and textures of the various types of wood,

and you will become more and more attached to it.

Please listen to the sounds in the short video.

The sound of wood brushing against wood

and the sound of magnets coming together

and closing will also soothe your soul.

The materials are mainly hardwoods

from Minami Aizu (Northeastern Japan),

selected especially for their characteristic grain and coloration.

The forests of Minami Aizu are characterized

by a higher percentage of hardwoods than softwoods,

and we use materials that have been lying in warehouses

for a long time as stock timber.

The grain and color of each piece of wood are different,

and there are knots and sometimes small insect holes,

but no two pieces are the same.

As you hold it and touch it again and again,

the look and feel of the wood will become familiar to your hand.

Your “Mâru” is unique to you and you alone.

2. Each piece is made from natural materials and will vary in terms of knots, grain, and color. The picture is an example, and the appearance may vary greatly depending on each piece.

3. Artificial drying is used to minimize deformation, but changes in temperature and humidity can cause changes in the moisture content in the wood, which may result in temporary warping and other deformations.

4. Although we take the cleanest possible parts from the stock material and process them, there is a possibility that a few small insect holes may be found.

5. The colors of the products may appear different from the actual colors due to the environment of the display you are using or the printing conditions.

6. There is a smell peculiar to the oil finish, but it does not affect the human body.
